party and Deathrock Cookout.

Free Food, Halloween Candy, Toys + $1.75 Well Drinks. We will also be
playing Halloween movies and cartoons all night.

The Armory will be decked out in a "Carrie" theme this year. (Anyone

Last night @ 9 Lives Saloon rocked!!!
I sorta drunkenly volunteered to judge the event at some point last weekend, and the whole night turned out to be a blast!!! (and also, they gave me a free bar tab for doing it)
Although, I'm not entirely sure how much the judge's votes actually counted for, because by the time we turned in all the ballots, the Rolling Rock rep in charge was fairly hammered....
Thanks to everyone that came out!!

After that, I headed over to the Convent for more debauchery.
Aside from the handful of irregulars, it was fun as always!! Butch rocked as usual - even though he had the cracking of whips to contend with (eek!)

This upcoming week is going to be busy as hell!!
Tuesday: The Faint @ Variety Playhouse in L5P

Wednesday: Coveneant @ the Masquerade AND then the usual fun at the Armory (free admission w/ Covenant ticket stub!!) (or so I've heard...don't quote me on that, I'll confirm before Wednesday)

Thursday: The Cramps @ the Masquerade! woohoo!!

Friday: the Convent; I think there's a housewarming party that night too

there's probably more that I'm missing, too....

We're taking over the roof of the Armory, and having a cookout (burgers, hotdogs, etc). The inside of the club is being taken over by another event for the evening, so we decided to move up to the HUGE patio on the roof. This should be interesting...

First night in a while I didn't go to Trivia. (but) I hate missing the opportunity to see a bunch of goth kids out of their element. (The Last Dance and some other bands played tonight @ 9 Lives) I guess staying after-hours at a bar on Sundays isn't so bad, since they technically stop serving at midnight...heehee - thanks for the drinks Mike and Ted! But alas, no 'Trackside' for me after that... AND ALSO~ Coming Soon: When you go shopping at Lucky Devil/Throb, you can also get a tattoo from one of the Sacred Heart artists... (um yeah, that's right. I'll go into it a little further later. Looks like my tattoo collection will finally be started ~and while I'm at work!) Craziness!

The turn out at the Armory last night was by far the best it's been in a really long time.
Thanks to everyone who came out!!! (I'm not sure who a lot of you were, or where exactly you came from) By the time I left after 3:30, the main room still had a decent crowd ~ and people were still dancing (!?!)
I might have scared a few dancers out of the main room during my set, but the people at the bar enjoyed it!
I might post my sets later today, they were pretty good

Blah... at least I'm getting my car window fixed this afternoon.

So Heather and I went up to have dinner at the Highlander after work last night. It was early. We got there at around 7:30. Butch met us up there. We ate our sandwiches, and then left. It was almost 9:00.
I get to my car, and
Some fuckin' piece of shit broke my back passenger window, and stole a small book of C.D.s and a leather jacket!!!!
It wasn't even that many C.D.s (15 at the most),
but what a damn pain in the ass!!! It's just that my C.D.s are my babies, so I'm really upset about losing any of them.
I could care less about the jacket.
The thing that gets me the most is the fact that I parked right under one of the big lights AND right next to the security vehicle which was still parked next to me at the time of the incident!!!
The security guard said he noticed it after he got there. AND what gets me is a witness said she saw someone sitting in the car around 8:30, and the security guard was supposed to come on duty at 8:00 - he was late to work.
The biggest pain is going to be fixing the window (which isn't going to be cheap).

Moral of the Story:
Don't leave crap in your car.
(I know, we've all heard that before...so I'm just reinforcing it)

So last night at the Armory -
If you've ever been, you know the "Sideroom" is always kinda interesting...
We were pretty much playing a lovely soundtrack to MSNBC and CNN coverage. heehee
I'll post my set soon, it's pretty damn funny.

Aubrey took the cake with "Killing an Arab" (tasteless, some may say...but I laughed)

and then, while I was about to play my last song for the night, my cell phone rings

the worst part is that my first class had the Test post-poned, and instead the teacher showed a video. (which included turning the lights off) ouch! *snore* I coulda just slept in at home!
